Funded delivery for ACT private sector employers

Six BSB qualifications are available as ACT-funded traineeships for eligible private sector employees. Under the ACT Government User Choice program, employers pay a subsidised rate and the trainee pays a capped student contribution — from $350, usually paid by the employer.

Funded rates by qualification:

  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB40520) — from $770 (New or Existing Worker)
  • Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) — from $350 (New or Existing Worker)
  • Certificate IV in Human Resources (BSB40420) — from $1,500 (New or Existing Worker)
  • Diploma of Human Resource Management (BSB50320) — from $1,230 (New or Existing Worker)
  • Certificate IV in Project Management Practice (BSB40920) — from $2,890 (New Worker only)
  • Diploma of Project Management (BSB50820) — from $2,210 (New or Existing Worker)

Employer contribution and eligibility depend on the qualification, the trainee’s status (New Worker or Existing Worker), and traineeship arrangements. We handle the paperwork with Skills Canberra on your behalf.

Delivering for APS agencies

APS agencies typically bring McMillan in through one of three arrangements:

Direct engagement

The agency contracts McMillan directly to deliver a closed-cohort program to their team. This is the most common arrangement and gives the agency full control over cohort size, timing, and contextualisation.

Through an established program

Some agencies engage us as part of a larger government training program. For example, McMillan currently delivers PSP40122 for the Department of Finance under the Australian Government Career Starter Program (AGCSP) — supporting APS employees from multiple agencies through a coordinated pathway.

Cross-agency cohorts

Where multiple agencies pool participants into a coordinated program, McMillan can structure delivery around a shared timetable while contextualising assessment tasks to each participant’s workplace.

Procurement

McMillan is set up to work through standard Commonwealth procurement arrangements — Commonwealth Contracting Suite (CCS) contracts, panel arrangements, or standard purchase orders for smaller engagements.
