What your team will learn

The skills to guide a mentoring relationship from start to finish.

Participants learn how to develop a mentoring plan and build the skills to facilitate a mentoring relationship in practice. The workshop covers how to monitor a mentoring relationship as it progresses and how to evaluate its effectiveness, so mentors leave with a complete framework for supporting a mentee’s growth.

What we cover

    • Developing a mentoring plan — Building a plan to guide the mentoring relationship.
    • Facilitating a mentoring relationship — Putting mentoring skills into practice with a mentee.
    • Monitoring a mentoring relationship — Tracking progress and adjusting the relationship as it develops.
    • Evaluating mentoring effectiveness — Assessing how effective the mentoring relationship has been.

Workshop format

A full day, delivered to your team as a closed cohort.

McMillan’s Mentoring in the Workplace workshop gives participants a comprehensive grounding in the principles and practice of mentoring. Participants build the skills to develop, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate a mentoring relationship, so they leave ready to support a mentee’s professional growth.
