What your team will learn

Core project management skills, built around a practical scenario from start to finish.

Participants work through a workplace-relevant scenario across both sessions, building a practical understanding of project management theory along the way. They learn how to initiate and plan a project, then execute and close it out, including reviewing performance and capturing lessons learned for future work.

    • Scopes, briefs, and business cases — Working with the documents that define and justify a project.
    • Key planning tools — Using tools including the Work Breakdown Structure, Gantt Chart, budgets, risk register, and project plan.
    • Practice scenario — Applying these skills to a workplace-relevant scenario introduced in this session.

Session 2: Execute and Close the Project

    • Quality planning and checking — Planning for quality and carrying out quality checks, auditing, and reporting.
    • Communication and engagement — Using strategies to communicate and engage with stakeholders through delivery.
    • Closing the project — Following the steps to close a project and achieve formal sign-off.
