Conflict Resolution Skills

Overview

This course has been designed to help you identify potential signs of conflict and deal with them head-on. Conflict can be a very problematic issue in the workplace and needs to be addressed in order to minimise its affects and bring about positive outcomes. This course will benefit everyone in the workplace, particularly those who are faced with conflict, as well as those who are required to guide others through similar conflict situations.

 

Learning Outcomes

This course covers the basic elements of the causes of conflict, conflict resolution and different styles and approaches. From this course you will learn how to effectively deal with conflict in the workplace by analysing how others deal with conflict, as well as through identifying and understanding your own approach to conflict.

You will be able to:

  • Identify and implement several approaches to conflict resolution
  • Develop effective strategies to address conflict situations
  • Gain skills in handling difficult situations
  • Develop effective communication technique

Individuals or teams who are faced with conflict and would like to learn how to effectively deal with it. Those in organisations who are required to guide others through situations of conflict.

Duration

This course can be tailored to business needs. A half day workshop will provide an overview and introductory information. A full day session will incorporate more practical sessions allowing for participants to spend more time practicing and receiving specific feedback.
